“Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.”—Bertrand Russell (via thatkindofwoman)
Sometimes, I’m completely frustrated with your lack of words, but then I look at you carefully and I feel it. That feeling that I get every time I get a chance to look at you, really look at you, it’s a mixture of joy and curiosity. I'm happy that I am able to call you mine, but curious as to whether you feel the same, because love is wondering what’s going on in your head, but really never finding out.

“We are so trained in the thought system of fear and attack that we get to the point where natural thinking — love — feels unnatural and unnatural thinking — fear — feels natural. It takes real discipline and training to unlearn the thought system of fear.”—Marianne Williamson (via childrenofthetao)
“One day you’re going to see her holding hands with someone who took your chance. She won’t even notice you because she’s too busy laughing with the stupid jokes he makes. And it will burn your heart seeing that beautiful smile on her face and realizing that you’re not the reason anymore. And then it will finally hit you: it was her, it was always her.”—
“Love is the kind of thing that’s already happening by the time you notice it, that’s how it works, and no matter how old you get, that doesn’t change. Except that you can break it up into two entirely distinct types — love where there’s an end in sight and love where there isn’t.”—Banana Yoshimoto (via kushandwizdom)
